Pixelmator is a great and easy-to-use image editor with lots and lots of different editing tools. You can easily enhance your pictures, add text and shapes, apply nice effects and rearrange them like you want. In this post I´d like to give an overwiev on some of the editing tools of pixelmator and how they can bring your blog pictures to the next lever. Are you ready? So let´s get into it!!
SPOT HEALING BRUSH
With the spot healing brush you can easily remove all these annoying dirt spots which secretly made their way into your image you really wanted to use for your next blog post. Select the spot healing brush (you can see how it looks like in the picture above) and click on the areas you want to clean up. At the top in the tool bar settings you can change the size of the brush as well. For my photo I used the spot healing brush in order to remove all the small dirt spots on the table. Like magic! :D

Ever asked youself how blogger changed the form of their profil pictures from a square to a circle?
No problem, I´ll tell you. Use the marquee tool for example, which you can create a perfect circle with and crop the photo. Select the marquee tool and press shift when you want to have a perfect circle. Go to Edit and click Inverse to select the background. That´s it. Easy, right?!

As the name already says it, with this tool you can write texts into your image. This can be quite helpful if you want to have a featured content area, linked to different websites or other blog post of yours. Well that´s what I used it for.
